Risk Protection Framework
Effective Date: 01.01.2026
At ShareBorrow, trust is the foundation of our marketplace.
We are committed to creating a secure environment where Lenders and Borrowers can transact with confidence.
This page outlines the systems, procedures, and enforcement mechanisms we use to reduce risk, prevent fraud, and protect our community.
1. Verified User Environment
To participate in transactions, users may be required to complete identity verification (KYC).
Verification measures may include:
government-issued identification,
phone or email confirmation,
payment method validation,
additional documentation when risk signals appear.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for users who fail verification.
2. Secure Transactions
All bookings and payments must occur within the Platform.
This ensures:
traceability,
eligibility for support,
fraud monitoring,
proper dispute handling.
Attempts to move transactions outside the Platform may result in suspension.
3. Security Deposits as Risk Control
Many listings require a deposit to protect item owners.
Deposits act as a financial safeguard against:
damage,
theft,
misuse,
late returns.
By booking, users authorize the Platform to hold and apply deposits when policy violations occur.
4. Continuous Risk Monitoring
We actively monitor marketplace behavior using internal risk signals.
This may include:
unusual booking patterns,
repeated cancellations,
abnormal disputes,
payment irregularities.
Accounts identified as high risk may face temporary limits or review.
5. Evidence-Based Dispute System
When issues arise, we rely on structured evaluation.
Users may be required to submit:
photos or videos,
timestamps,
communication history,
repair estimates.
False or misleading submissions can lead to penalties.
6. Authority to Intervene
To maintain fairness and protect the ecosystem, ShareBorrow may:
pause transactions,
delay payouts,
hold deposits,
divide compensation between parties,
recover losses from wallets or future earnings.
These actions may be taken when risk or rule violations are suspected.
7. Anti-Fraud & Abuse Policy
We operate with zero tolerance toward:
fake claims,
staged damages,
identity misuse,
payment fraud,
system manipulation,
harassment or coercion.
We may suspend users immediately while investigations are ongoing.
8. Repeat Offender Controls
Users who repeatedly generate risk may face:
listing restrictions,
higher verification requirements,
deposit adjustments,
permanent removal.
9. Data & Communication Integrity
For safety and accountability:
We encourage users to keep communication and agreements inside the Platform.
Off-platform arrangements limit our ability to protect you.
10. Community Responsibility
Trust is shared.
Users are expected to:
provide accurate listings,
treat items with care,
communicate honestly,
respect agreed timelines.
11. Platform Limitation
While we build tools to reduce risk, no online system can eliminate it entirely.
Users participate in the marketplace understanding that transactions occur between individuals.
12. Reporting Safety Issues
Concerns must be reported immediately through the Support system so we can act quickly.
Delays in reporting may affect available remedies.
13. Continuous Improvement
We constantly update our controls, monitoring systems, and enforcement methods to keep the marketplace safe.
