Welcome to ShareBorrow (“Platform”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the ShareBorrow website, mobile interfaces, and related services.
By registering, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Nature of the Service
ShareBorrow is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects individuals who wish to rent out items (“Lenders”) with individuals who wish to borrow those items (“Borrowers”).
ShareBorrow:
does not own the listed items,
is not a party to rental agreements between users,
acts solely as a technology intermediary facilitating bookings and payments.
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
be at least 18 years old,
provide accurate registration information,
complete identity verification (KYC) when requested.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials,
all activity under your account.
You must notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
4. Listings and Responsibilities of Lenders
Lenders must ensure that:
they legally own or are authorized to rent the item,
descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate,
items are safe, clean, and functional.
Lenders are responsible for honoring confirmed bookings.
5. Booking and Rental Agreement
When a booking is accepted, a direct agreement is formed between the Borrower and the Lender.
Both parties agree to:
respect the rental period,
communicate through the Platform,
return and receive the item at the agreed time.
6. Payments & Fees
Bookings may include:
rental fees,
platform service fees or commissions,
a security deposit.
Payments are processed via the available payment methods on the Platform.
ShareBorrow may deduct commissions before transferring earnings to Lenders.
7. Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required to protect the Lender.
The deposit may be used in cases such as:
damage,
loss,
late return,
violation of agreed terms.
If no issue is reported, the deposit is refunded according to the Platform’s process.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation policy defined by the Lender.
Platform fees may be non-refundable.
9. Damage, Loss & Disputes
Borrowers must return items in the same condition.
If an issue occurs:
It must be reported immediately through the Platform.
Evidence (photos, videos, reports) may be required.
ShareBorrow may mediate and determine outcomes.
Our decision in disputes may be considered final to ensure fairness and efficiency.
10. Prohibited Uses
Users may not:
use the Platform for illegal purposes,
provide fraudulent information,
bypass the Platform to complete payments outside the system,
damage, misuse, or fail to return rented items.
Violations may lead to account suspension or legal action.
11. Identity Verification (KYC)
We may request official identification at any time.
Failure to comply can result in restrictions or termination.
12. Ratings and Reviews
Users may leave honest feedback after transactions.
We may remove reviews that are abusive, false, or misleading.
13. Platform Role & Limitation of Liability
ShareBorrow provides the marketplace “as is”.
We are not responsible for:
the condition of items,
actions of users,
injuries, damages, or financial loss arising from rentals.
Users engage at their own risk.
14. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts for:
breach of these Terms,
suspicious activity,
misuse of the Platform.
15. Modifications to the Service
We may update features, fees, or policies at any time.
Continued use after changes means acceptance.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
